Copeland and Fong Recognized as National Rural and Small Town Scholars
November 5, 2020
This fall, the College Board released its National Rural and Small Town Scholars as part of their recognition program. New Glarus High School had two students who were recognized as National Rural and Small Town Scholars. Seniors Ben Copeland and Merrick Fong were both recognized as National Rural and Small Town Scholars.
Students who are selected for this award need to have scored in the top 2.5% of the PSAT test takers who identify as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area, or are from a small town. As a National Rural and Small Town Scholar, the College Board works to help showcase those students to colleges and universities throughout the United States. Congratulations to Ben and Merrick!
