Green County Public Health is announcing that beginning on September 9, 2020, Green County will have three COVID-19 community testing sites.

The Monroe testing sites will operate on Wednesdays, from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the National Guard Armory at 1130 30th Street.

Testing sites in New Glarus, at the Swiss Center of North America, 507 Durst Road, and Brodhead, at the former Brodhead Fitness Center, 804 23rd Street, will be operational on alternating Mondays from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

The first Brodhead test date was September 14th and the first New Glarus test date will be September 21st.

Free COVID-19 testing will be available for any one 5 years of age and older. Individuals who need to be tested are asked to register online prior to getting tested. This is to ensure a smooth and efficient process for everyone. Testing will be available while supplies last. Each testing site will be set up as a drive-through. Anyone 5-17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian authorized to give consent for the COVID-19 test on their behalf. If you are able to be tested at your doctor’s office, we encourage you to do so.

Appointment and Registration Instructions: Pre-register for your test as close to the day of your appointment as possible at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a084caaad23a5f94-green. You will receive an email with a QR code; bring this code to the testing site on your smart device or printed out. If you need assistance with registering, staff on site will be available to help you.

Testing is recommended for: Individuals experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Individuals who have been in close contact (within 6 feet for about 15 minutes) with a person with COVID-19, regardless of symptoms, Individuals without symptoms who have been instructed by public health or a health care provider to get a COVID-19 test for the purpose of preventing the spread of infection.
