This spring, as many in Belleville faced economic challenges due to the pandemic shutdown, staff at the Belleville Public Library found additional ways the Summer Reading Program could support our community. Rather than seek donations, prizes were purchased from local businesses. Additionally, we challenged the children and teens to read 1,500 or 2,500 hours to have a $300 or $500 donation made to the Belleville Food Pantry to help those experiencing difficult financial times.
