Local Writer Publishes Cookbook
July 30, 2020
Last fall, Grandma Pat, aka Pat Sellon of Monticello, was busy working toward publishing a cookbook she'd just finished - "Cooking With Grandma Pat, Grandma Pat shares wonderful recipes stolen from her dearest friends." Then the pandemic hit. Already working with Michael Nicloy of Nico 11 Publishing and Design, she decided to go ahead with the project.
Official release date of the cookbook, which contains 47 recipes with commentary, was July 7. Initial purchasers describe Pat as a hoot and her style as snarky. They ordered additional copies to give as gifts.
Pat also writes a blog, Grandma Pat Cooks. It's a blog about food and life with an attitude.
"A few years ago I challenged myself to do a blog post every day for a year. Mostly recipes but sometimes attitude," Pat said. "I posted every day for over two years before I quit. I've started again with intermittent postings. I love to write."
