Elizabeth Madeline Meyer, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the Evansville Manor. She was born on January 26, 1931, in Troy Township, to the late Grant and Lucille (Marquardt) Waddell.

She married Gilbert Meyer on June 2, 1951, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Together they farmed for 33 years in Primrose Township, Belleville, before retiring and moving to Evansville. Liz enjoyed visits from her family and reading books. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her five children, Denny (Peggy) Meyer of Belleville, Sandy (Nate) Marty of Monticello, Brenda (Denny) Malott of Woodford, Steve (Lynn) Meyer of Monroe, and Pam (Jeff) Najdowski of Evansville. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Charlotte (John) Briggs of Albany and Genny (Dick) Larsen of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 63 years; Gilbert; a grandson, Spencer Meyer; and sister, Winnie.

Private family services will be held due to the restrictions of COVID-19. Burial will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville.
