On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at approximately 1:57 p.m., the Green County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received a report that two armed individuals had stolen a Chevrolet Equinox from a residence near the intersection of State Highway 39 and County Trunk J, in York Township. Deputies, along with members of the Wisconsin State Patrol and New Glarus Police Department, responded to the area and secured the scene. The vehicle had left the scene; it is believed to have traveled to the Madison area and has not been recovered as of the time of this report.
