On Saturday, May 9, 2020, the New Glarus Fire Department was called to residential fire on Spring Valley Road, north of the Village of New Glarus. Heavy smoke and flames were reported. Fire departments from Belleville, Monticello, Albany, Argyle, Blanchardville, Monroe, Verona, Mount Horeb, and Fitchburg assisted, as well as the New Glarus Area EMS, New Glarus Police Department and Green County Sheriff's Department.
