Piper Hageman Meets Her Cookie Goal With a Little Help from Brad Paisley

March 19, 2020

With a goal of selling 500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, who do you contact to help you reach your goal?

If you are 9-year-old Piper Hageman and you are a Brad Paisley fan, just ask Brad.

The Belleville Troop 7200 Brownie member started selling cookies on February 17 and had until March 5 to reach her goal.

On February 27, her mom Vicki, posted this message on Facebook: "Click on the link below to order cookies, her goal is 500 boxes. For anyone who would like to order please click on the link. #GirlScoutCookies #GirlScoutNation @bradpaisley will you order cookies from your super fan? Ellen DeGeneres https://app.abcsmartcookies.com/..." along with Piper singing new words to Paisley's song 'Country Nation.'

Piper and her mom wrote new words to Paisley's song 'Country Nation.' See sidebar.

In response to Piper's request, Doug Paisley replied: "I'm covering this for @bradpaisley. We ordered and donated the cookies for you since we already have more than we should eat."

Piper and her mom had attended one of Paisley's concerts on February 5, 2016, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. They won back-stage passes and actually got to meet Brad Paisley.

"I'm extremely excited that I met my goal and I got Brad Paisley's attention," said Piper.

Piper is a member of the third-grade Belleville Brownie Troop with leaders Charlene Schmidt and Kjirsten Elsner. Her parents are Vicki and Allen, and she has a 4-year-old sister Paisley.

And yes, Piper did reach her goal of 500. She sold 515 boxes. Congratulations, Piper and family.
