Hay Shakers Steve Sponem and Rick Skindrud shook 112 points out of the J&M Bar River Rats to stack up Kleeman’s eighth win of the half, taking over sole possession of first place. Whereas, the Harley Blue Express received their first loss of the half at the hands of the Riley Shufflers. Harley Blue went ahead early on, but the Shufflers kept it close. Down by 5 after seven games, the Shufflers won all four games of the last frame to win the match by 19 points. Dave Herfel and Randy Skogen dealt up 116 points for the Shufflers (tying for this week’s high score), while Ed Chancellor and Shane Kahl add another 110 points. The win by Kleeman’s and loss by the Express sets up a must win game for the Express when they host the Kleeman Hay Shakers on February 27th.

In other play, the Norsk Cowboys were able to take the high ground with their guns a-blazing to keep the Tyrol Trolls pinned down all night. The 119-point massacre by the Cowboys kept the Trolls winless with just one match to play. Cowboys Harold Schlimgen and Marvin Thompson were the sharp shooters, hitting 116 Trolls. Brittney Onsager and Erica Forseth took most of the Cowboy’s fire and were held to just 66 points. However, it was Cheese Eaters Giff Hoesly and Ed Wettach with a 62 that took this week’s low score in the J&M Bar loss to the Jones’ Plumbing Pipe Benders. Jeff Buesser and Kendal Wenger grabbed 116 points for the Cheese Eaters, tying for this week’s high score.

Mounties Harold Grabandt and Jim Day made a quick recovery after their skunk last week, rounding up 111 points. Unfortunately the rest of the posse failed to surround the Pranksters, allowing the Pranksters to trick a 5-point win out of the Riley Mounties.
