The Glarner Knights played host to long-time rivals the Belleville Wildcats on January 21st. This was the first match up this season for the two teams, and the gym was full of fans eager to cheer their respective team to a victory.

The first half was pretty evenly matched and Belleville was on top by 5 when the game reached halftime. However, New Glarus stepped it up offensively in the second half and squeaked past the Wildcats to win the game 67-64.

Nathan Streiff led New Glarus with 15 points, while Mason Martinson scored 14 points, Connor Siegenthaler scored 13 points and Garrett James scored 12 points. Siegenthaler and James each sunk three 3-point shots.

The Knights played at Marshall on January 24th. Down by 2 at the half, the Knights battled back to win the game 52-49.

"It was a back-and-forth game all night," explained Coach Travis Sysko. "New Glarus took its final lead of the game in a Mason Martinson layup with about 30 seconds to play. Nathan Streiff made two free throws to put the Knights up three, and they were able to get a stop on Marshall's last possession."

On Monday, January 27th, the Knights played at Dodgeville. They will host Waterloo on January 30th and play at Cambridge on February 4th.
