On January 14th, the Monroe co-op hockey team hosted the Oregon Panthers at SLICE. The home team lost, 2-3.

Monroe’s goals came late in the third period. Payton Stauffacher, assisted by Luke Kuberski and Ryan Molitor, put the team on the board and shortly thereafter Cade Janecke scored on a penalty shot.

Heath Bear had 36 saves on goal.

On January 16th, the team played at Beloit Memorial, winning 4-1.

Payton Stauffacher put the Cheesemakers on the board first on a power play in the first period.

In the second period, goals were scored by Hayden Roth, assisted by Jared Dillon and Payton Stauffacher, and Blaze Janecke, assisted by Roman Bauer. Hayden Roth, assisted by Cooper Dreyfus and Cade Janecke, scored a goal in the third period.

Goalie Heath Bear had 20 saves on goal.

Monroe hosted Edgewood on January 21st and will host Viroqua on January 24th before heading to LaBahn Arena on January 27th to face Madison Edgewood.
