Welcome Table Community Dinner
January 23, 2020
On Monday, January 27th, friends and neighbors in the Monticello area will gather for a monthly meal at Zwingli UCC, 416 E. Lake Avenue. The January gathering will be attended by folks of all ages for an evening of good food and conversation. The Hands of Change Youth Service Group has been serving supper to folks on the last Monday of each month since spring of 2019.
This month we are having a Potato Bar: a delicious russet baker, baked to perfection and topped with your choice of the many ingredients that will be available. Cheese, Chili, Broccoli, and many others. Of course there will be the old favorites of Butter, Sour Cream, Bacon, Chives, Salt and Pepper.
This meal is offered free of charge. Bruce Pahl, Jodie Hollis, Pastor Lance Smith and the Hands of Change crew will decorate and prepare components of this meal. The congregation and Friends of Zwingli will make Chili and Desserts for us as well. Youth members help serve, clear and do dishes after the meal!
The Welcome Table is a free night out, sponsored by Zwingli UCC and community members. This meal is for people who enjoy being with people, no teaching, no preaching, no classes, just good, simple food and great conversation. These meals have been attended by people ages 18 months to 90 years old and beyond! Please mark your calendar for the last Monday of each month and plan to join us at 5:30 p.m.!
