Veterans, their families, friends, and supporters gathered in New Glarus for a weekend of socializing and remembrance. The weekend kicked off with the annual Burning of Winter ceremony in the lot on the corner of 6th Avenue and Hwy 69. Despite the cold and blowing snow, NGFD members lit the bonfire and the Jodelklub members and the Alphorn players performed. The parade had to be cancelled due to the weather. There was also a dance, a poker run, the famous Winterfest Auction, buffet banquet and dance.
