The Monroe Cheesemakers co-op hockey team hosted DeForest on December 5th, winning 5-2.

Cade Janecke scored the first goal for the Cheesemakers with assistance from Hayden Roth and Cooper Dreyfus. Janecke, assisted by Roth and Payton Stauffacher, scored again less than 5 minutes later in the first period to make the score 2-0.

In the second period, Janecke scored twice more, assisted once by Cooper Dreyfus and Payton Stauffacher and the second goal with assistance from Hayden Roth and Dreyfus.

Bringing the score to 5-1 in the third period was Janecke, assisted by Jared Dillon and Ty O’Connor. DeForest scored their second goal about six minutes later.

Goalie Heath Bear had 26 saves on goal.

The Cheesemakers co-op won against Greendale on December 7th at home, 4-0.

In the first period, Payton Stauffacher, assisted by Brady Smith, scored the Cheesemaker’s first goal.

Stauffacher scored again in the second period, assisted by Jared Dillon and Luke Kuberski.

In the third period, Cade Jancecke, assisted by Cooper Dreyfus and Jared Dillon, scored the third goal. Hayden Roth scored the Cheesemaker’s final goal of the game, assisted by Cooper Dreyfus.

Goalie Bear had 20 saves on goal.

The Cheesemakers co-op plays at Oregon on December 10th, at Viroqua on December 13th and will host Stoughton at SLICE in Monroe on December 19th.
