Grants Awarded by New Glarus Community Fund & New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund

Recipients of grants from the New Glarus Community Fund and New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund.

At a recent reception at the Chalet Landhaus, over $29,000 was awarded to area organizations. This brings the total given since 1996 the New Glarus Community Fund & New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund in excess of $360,000 in grants to area organizations.

New Glarus Community Fund

Big Brothers/Big Sisters - Programming Support; New Glarus Historical Society - Hall of History Exhibits, Hall of History Consulting; Southwest Community Action Program - New Glarus Food for Kids Program; Swiss Center of North America - Fireworks for 175th Celebration; New Glarus Public Library - Foolproof Relocatable Information Technology Zeug.

Dr. Fred W. and Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund

Wilhelm Tell Guild - Usherette Costume Storage and Replacement; Village of New Glarus - Barlow Military Portrait Restoration (Chalet of Golden Fleece).

Anonymous II Fund

Big Brothers/Big Sisters - Programming Support; New Glarus Fire Department - Hydra-Ram Purchase; Village of New Glarus - AED for Swimming Pool; Village of New Glarus - Barlow Military Portrait Restoration (Chalet of Golden Fleece).

New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund

School District of New Glarus: Middle School - Wyalusing Trip, Treat & Star Splitters, Stones Bones & Sticks; Elementary School - Earth Day Art Outreach; Elementary School - Blankets for Compassion; Elementary School - Mindful Moment Room.
