Help Children Have a Merry Christmas

November 21, 2019

Dear Citizens and Business Owners,

It is almost that time of year again - time for Christmas. As we have for the past several years, the New Glarus Police Department will be an active participant in the “Shop With a Cop” program. This program helps underprivileged kids have a Merry Christmas that they may not have had without our help. The New Glarus School system assists in nominating the children that would benefit from this program. The children that are chosen to be a part of this program are assisted by one of our police officers to go shopping with funds that are donated to the “Shop With a Cop” program. This is a Green County wide program and the funds donated to this program are used by all agencies to take participants from their communities. This event will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

If you would like to contribute to the “Shop With a Cop” program, checks need to be made out to “Shop With a Cop” and submitted to the New Glarus Police Department. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the “Shop With a Cop” program, please feel free to contact me at the New Glarus Police Department.
