Belleville Community Health Improvement Project Holds Luncheon
November 21, 2019
On November 14th, members of the Belleville Community Health Improvement Project (BCHIP) held a luncheon to familiarize community members with their mission and to find ways to collaborate and provide information about resources.
With 16 community members representing many businesses or organizations, BCHIP members thought that the luncheon went very well.
"I found it helpful to put faces to the different names that I had come across over the years," said Kyle Webber, Elementary School Counselor. "During the luncheon, we got great feedback and advice on how we can better serve our community. I am excited to continue this work. There are a lot of wonderful caring people in this community."
BCHIP members provided its history and examples of activities and fundraising efforts, and their plans to pursue 501c3 status.
Dane County social worker Joe Sullivan talked about funds that he has available for rent and utility assistance for families who might need financial assistance.
The group discussed ways that they can work together to better serve the Belleville community.
