Three teams remain undefeated after the third week of the season. Two of these teams call Norsk Golf Club home. The Norsk Cowboys, sitting high in the saddle, rode roughshod over all the J&M Bar River Rats except for Kurt Beutel and Mark Raders, who put up 117 (this week’s high score) for the Rats. Althoooough, Dan Palmer (Honker) and Tracy Beutel had only two bad games for the Rats that kept them from gnawing into the 402 to 390 defeat. The Norsk Pranksters, also undefeated, sliced and diced 38 points from the S’Wisco Taphaus Cheese Eaters’ wheelhouse. Dave Losenegger and Tommy Schulenberg, just missing out on high score of the week, pulled 116 rabbits out of the hat for the Pranksters.

Both of the Riley teams were undefeated going into their battle for Riley Tavern bragging rights. Unfortunately for the Mounties, they forgot to tighten the girth on their saddles. The Shufflers dominated the night dealing up 434 team points, giving them a 55-point advantage over the Mounties. Stan Hook and Ed Chancellor led the way for the Shufflers with 114 points, followed closely by Derek and Randy Skogen who added another 111 points. All four Shuffler couples exceeded 100 points.

As for the match between Jones’ Plumbing and Kleeman’s, it just wasn’t a good night for the Pipe Benders. They were on the wrong end of one of the biggest defeats in recent memory. After a good thrashing, instead of stacking the hay, the Hay Shakers bailed up a 412 to 321 win over the Pipe Benders. With a win this big they had to use wire instead of twine to secure the 91-point victory. Rick Skindrud and Bucky Bogdanou pitched a 115 into the bailer for the Hay Shakers. High score for the Pipe Benders was a 93 plumbed in by Ross Neshiem and Ryan Arneson. As you would suspect, this week’s low score was recorded by a Pipe Bender couple, Tony Hoffman and Joseph Heinrichs, who could only couple together 63 points. This score could very likely end up as the low score of the half; we’ll see.
