The Belleville and New Glarus Police Departments, assisted by students of Whitney's Academy of Dance, recently held a friendly contest to see who could collect the most food for a local food pantry. The Belleville officers set up at Burreson's Foods and New Glarus officers were at Roy's Market, and Whitney's students were at both locations to assist, along with having a brat and bake sale.

Over 1,200 lbs of food was collected for the pantry. Winning this year's competition was the New Glarus Police Department, who collected 689 lbs compared to Belleville's 527 lbs. Both departments are l...
