Cabinet of Curiosities: A Menagerie of Historic Wood Carvings by Former Monroe Resident

On Friday, August 30, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monroe Arts Center hosts a gallery opening reception for the exhibit "Cabinet of Curiosities" from the collection at the Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Monroe Arts Center (MAC) opens their 2019-2020 gallery season on Friday, August 30, 2019, with the exhibit titled "Cabinet of Curiosities" by Levi Fisher Ames. The exhibit will be on display at MAC's Wellington and Muranyi Galleries from August 30 through October 4. "Cabinet of Curiosities" has been made possible by special arrangement with the John Michael Kohler Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Monroe Arts Center is located at 1315 11th Street, Monroe, Wisconsin.

Levi Fisher Ames (1843-1923) was born in 1843 in Pennsylvania. Ames's family moved to Wisconsin when he was a young child....
