Swiss Church Mission Book Expo

August 22, 2019

On Sunday, September 1, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Swiss United Church of Christ is having its annual Wisconsin Author Book Sale. This is when Wisconsin authors get together to support the Swiss Church’s All God’s Children Mission - a mission that helps children in El Salvador go to school. This mission has been active for over 20 years and helps 100 plus children attend school every year.

The sale will take place across the street from Art in the Park, or in case of rain, in the church basement. There are 16 authors participating with over 40 titles in all genres: children’s books, memoir, mystery, historical fiction, thriller, literary fiction, romance. This means you can meet the authors in person, hear their stories, and have them sign your book!

Here are a few of the authors attending: Ashok Patwari is a retired Physician. His book is Retreat and Other Short Stories. Laura Clark Hansen’s family will be selling Laura’s book Please Send Hats, a story of cancer survival. Kathleen Waldvogel is a retired teacher. She is bringing Spies, Soldiers, Couriers and Saboteurs: Women of the American Revolution - a middle grade novel, plus Three Little Ghosts - a children’s book. Kristen Oakley will have her award-winning fiction Carpe Diem, Illinois and the sequel God on Mayhem Street.

To see all of the authors and their books, visit the website http://www.newglarusbookexpo.blogspot.com.

Come out and support our own Wisconsin authors and Swiss Church’s All God’s Children Mission.
