Why the name change?

Wisconsin Point of Sale is outgrowing our name! As we expand into neighboring states and also expand our product offerings beyond point-of-sale systems, we needed to change our brand to better reflect our growing business.

Why Helvetia Systems?

The word Helvetia (hel-vee-shuh) may not relate directly to the technology we offer, but it does have meaning to the company’s origins. Founded in, and still headquartered in, New Glarus, Wisconsin, known as America’s Little Switzerland, Helvetia is close to the company’s roots. Helvetia is a representation of the Swiss Confederacy and is depicted on Swiss currency as a female figure, similar to the Statue of Liberty in the USA. The word is deliberately vague so that we can change our business model as the needs of our clients continue to change.

What else changes?

First of all, our new point of sale system offering, Heartland Restaurant, is featured prominently with detailed information on the system’s advanced features and functionality. Also, you will see additional business solutions we offer, including payments, payroll, and a myriad of other technology solutions. We want to be a one-stop shop for any technology needs that your restaurant or retail business may require. We also have an updated Facebook page, LinkedIn site, and email addresses linked to the new brand. We invite you to follow us online for updates on new product offerings, events and much more!

What happens to Wisconsin Point of Sale?

We’re still here! The original brand is still near and dear to our hearts and we are not abandoning it. Helvetia Systems is an umbrella company that still counts Wisconsin Point of Sale as part of its team. Kris Baumgartner and Loyd Smith still own the business. They have not sold the company or been acquired. You can still contact us at our current phone numbers and email our current addresses.
