Jane Sybers, Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation Executive Director, and Founding Sponsor Hans Lenzlinger are all smiles at the 26th Annual Dinner and a "Little Golf" event.

In an otherwise rainy area, guests at the Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation's 26th Annual Dinner and a "Little Golf" event, held on June 25, were in a pocket of sunshine. It was a beautiful afternoon of mini golf that led into a night full of generous giving for a great cause.

Dinner and a "Little Golf" is held annually at Swissland Miniature Golf in New Glarus, WI, with dinner following at the New Glarus Hotel. This year, the event raised over $63,000 with 160 guests and many more individuals participating in the silent auction. Many generous donations were provided by community members and businesses for both the silent and live auctions.

The silent auction featured 17 different baskets filled with goodies from wine and cheese, pet supplies, kitchen gadgets and gift certificates to local eateries. Prominent items from the live auction included a private tour of Camp Randall Stadium, a hand crocheted afghan made by Monroe Clinic Director of Home Care & Hospice Lisa Schweitzer, tickets and sideline passes to two UW Badger football games and a stay at Northern Bay Resort.

"We are pleased to see the community members rally around this fun evening once again," commented Jane Sybers, Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation Executive Director. "People clearly understand the importance of Monroe Clinic Hospice services and the Foundation's role in supporting health care excellence in our communities."

The event highlights a family story, which showcases the personal side of Monroe Clinic's Hospice services. This year, the Wolff family shared the personal experience they had with Monroe Clinic Hospice for their father, Fred.

A special thanks goes to our Founding Sponsor, Hans Lenzlinger and family, for all their generosity. The Lenzlinger family graciously underwrote the entire event, resulting in all the dollars raised going directly to hospice services.

It takes more than creative donations and a great meal to make this event a success. A team of nearly 30 volunteers worked behind the scenes to collect donations and coordinate event logistics.

"Our hospice volunteers are passionate about the work they do," shared Nadine Whiteman, Monroe Clinic Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. "They share their time, and talents, in ways that have a very personal impact on patients and their families."
