Emma Anson was named to 2nd Team on Defense on the Capitol Conference All-Conference Team.
The Sugar River Raiders girls soccer team recently held their awards banquet, wrapping up their fantastic season.
Raider Team Awards
Rachael Heittola was named MVP, while Brooke Watrud was named MIP. Sydney Gentilli received the Coaches Award and Peri Erickson and Brooke Watrud received the Scholastic Award.
Capitol Conference All-Conference
Peri Erickson received a Sugar River Raiders' Scholastic Award.
Named to 1st Team were Rachael Heittola at Goalkeeper, Julia McNamar-Defense, Brooke Watrud-Defense, Kirstin Krantz-Midfield, Ellie Gentilli-Midfield and Ellawyn Fong-Defense. Named to 2nd Team was Emma Anson-Defense.
State and National Honors
Rachael Heittola received All-State Honorable Mention and WSCA Senior All-Star Game while Ellawyn Fong was a nominee for the All-American Scholastic Team and was named All-State All-Academic.
Team Honors
Varsity team honors for the season include 2019 NSCAA United Coaches Ethics and Sportsmanship Platinum Medal (0 yellow cards); 2019 NSCAA United Coaches Academic All-American Team Awards (3.6 Team GPA); 2019 Capitol Conference Champions; 2019 D3 Regional Champions and 2019 D3 Sectional Finalist.
