Bastille Day Lakefest to be held on July 13, 2019 from 1:30 to 10:00 p.m.

Bastille Day Lakefest is a unique festival celebrating Lake Belle View, nature and wildlife, health and wellness, Belleville's French Heritage, family and community connections. It will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 1:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m., with most events taking place in Belleville's Community Park.

Free events include Canoe, Kayak and Boat Rides, Three Lumberjack Shows, One Interactive Lumberjack Camp, French Fur Traders Interactive Camp, CRITTERrrrr Man Puppet Show, Birds Everywhere, Birds for Everyone!, Carp Fishing Contest, Nature and Wildlife Photo Display, Kids Ballet, Hip Hop and Jazz, Meet and Greet Miss Wisconsin 2019 Alyssa Bohm and the Green County Dairy Queens, Live Blue Grass Music, French Jazz Foot Parade.

All day long, food and beverages will be available from several local area clubs and businesses, including Belleville Wildcats Youth Football who will be serving burgers, brats, hot dogs, jambalaya, chicken sandwiches and assorted beverages, candies and chips; La Petit Four who will be serving French sweets including Palmiers, Crepes and Madeleines; Schultz's Sugar River Kettle Corn; TC's Barbecue, serving ribs, rib tips and smoked barbecue brats; and The Hop Garden, serving craft beers and other artisan beverages. There will be several non-food vendors as well.

A portion of the proceeds will fund the Belleville Community Assistance (BCAP) and Belleville Community Health Improvement Program (BCHIP) rent/utility assistance program, high school scholarships and post prom activities.

The event is held in cooperation with the Belleville Economic Development Committee, Village of Belleville, Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Belleville Public Library, Belleville School District, Belleville High School and Upper Sugar River Watershed Association.
