The Blanchardville Community Pride will be sponsoring their 33rd Annual “Cruis’n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show” on Sunday, July 14, 2019, rain or shine, in McKellar Park.
This year’s feature vehicle will be a 1955 Ford Customline Sedan, “GT55”, owned by Gene Schwister of Sussex, Wisconsin. The three and a half year project was built by Dave’s Hot Rod Shop in West Bend, Wisconsin. The Ford is powered by a 5.0L Coyote engine that pumps out 400 HP. The interior has perforated saddle tan Italian leather, accented with black diamond painted pieces and stainless trim. Other features include a monochromatic paint job from SPI, contrasted by a wide band of black diamond divided by saddle colored pin striping. The Ford has won several major national indoor and outdoor awards and has been featured in Hot Rod magazine.
Don Gaulrapp is this year’s local spotlight with his 1965 Chevelle. The Monroe native has perfectly restored this unique 1 of 6,021 cars that were built with the L79 engine option.
This year’s Special Vendor is Wrecktify Collision and Restoration of New Glarus. They will be displaying samples of their current restoration projects.
