The Monticello Parent Teacher Organization is holding their 4th Annual PTO Pony Trot Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Monticello School. This event is held during Monticello Homecoming. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., with the Kids 1K run/walk starting at 8:00 a.m., and the 5K run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $10 for 18 and under; $20 for 19 and older before June 30th and $25 after. To receive a t-shirt, you must register prior to June 30th. Please visit the Monticello School website at https://www.monticello.k12.wi.us to register.

PTO is a group of parents, teachers and former teachers of Monticello School. Even though our group is small, we accomplish many things to support our school each year, such as providing free child care at Parent Teacher conferences, monthly teacher and staff appreciation treats, student treats, scholarships to graduating seniors, support of school activities such as Post Prom, DARE roller skating, and PBIS activities, providing a $100 grant to teachers for student and classroom items, and providing a Pony grant to aid students in need with expenses for certain school sponsored activities. Most recently, the PTO has added a Gaga ball pit and new basketball nets and balls for the school playground.
