Susan G. Komen Wisconsin is pleased to welcome Green County resident and business owner Teresa Joranlien to their Board of Directors. Joranlien is the owner of Hawk's Mill Winery in Browntown, Wisconsin, as well as Hawk's Mill WineHaus in New Glarus, Wisconsin. She also brings over 30 years of operations and management experience from serving as Vice President of Operations and Distribution with Mitek Corporation.

"I am very honored and grateful to be part of the Komen Wisconsin Board and hope that I can advocate for women in our area battling this horrible disease as well as bring awareness to our communities for all that Komen does to support women in Wisconsin," commented Joranlien.

"We are thrilled to have Teresa join the Komen Wisconsin board of directors," said Nikki Panico, Executive Director. "She has a wealth of experience that will benefit Komen and help us grow as an organization. She serves as a knowledgeable representative and advocate for south central Wisconsin within our organization."

As a member at-large on the board of directors, Joranlien will represent south central Wisconsin constituents. She will help lead staff, fundraising, programs and operations for Komen Wisconsin.

In 2018/19, Komen Wisconsin was able to help 39 individuals in Green and Rock counties, part of the south central region, through the Komen Wisconsin Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, totaling almost $17,000 of financial support.

The Komen Wisconsin Breast Cancer Assistance Fund provides financial support for breast health services, like clinical breast exams and mammograms, and support services for individuals with breast cancer, including child care costs, transportation costs, rent, insurance copays and more.
