Their first game was against the 5th ranked Spartans of McFarland, and ended in 0-0 tie. A big game for the girls as not getting beat was huge! Rachel Heittola had 9 saves for Sugar River and McFarland had 4.
Their second game of the week was traveling to Columbus to play the 8-1 Cardinals. The Raiders girls came out strong, dominating ball control the entire first half. Raegan Jelle, assist from Julia McNamer, scored at 40:20 for the first goal of the half. Three minutes later, Kirsten Krantz blasted one in the net from far out for a 2-0 lead at half. That finished the scoring for the night as multiple rotations of girls got action on the field. Sugar River had 2 saves and Columbus had 6.
