Mosher & Associates donated two bikes to be given away at the New Glarus Bike Rodeo. Pictured above is New Glarus Police Officer Logan Lange, Gina Butson, Nicole Rivers, and Paul Fredrickson, from Mosher & Associates, New Glarus Chamber Executive Director Bekah Stauffacher, and New Glarus Police Lieutenant Jeff Sturdevant.

For eight years, the New Glarus Police Department and New Glarus Chamber have hosted a bike rodeo in early May. A rodeo is a bicycle skills event which provides an opportunity for young bicyclists to practice and develop skills that will help them to become better bicyclists and avoid typical crashes.

This year's bike rodeo will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the Depot on Railroad Street.

Along with bike safety, 50 bike helmets will be given away, along with a free t-shirt to each participant and volunteer, a goodie bag filled with coupons, coloring books, stickers, etc. All participants and their families will enjoy a free lunch, a bouncy house and a petting zoo. And don't forget to enter the drawing for a chance to win one of several bikes that will be given away! The bikes are generously donated by local businesses. Children in Kindergarten through 4th grade may enter to win.
