The Belleville Wildcats softball team played their first game of the season against Nekoosa on April 2nd. They ended up losing, 5-6.

"Had the game in the bag. Then the 7th inning came and it fell apart," said Coach Connie Wunschel. "Maddy Weber pitched the full 7 innings, taking the hard fought loss. It was a true pitchers battle all the way through."

Going into the bottom of the 5th, it was tied 1-1. With 2 outs, Kori Rogers walked, Ella Campbell squib hit one to 3rd and while Nekoosa's 3rd baseman was attempting to throw it to 1st, Rogers slid into 3rd base with Campbell moving to 2n...
