The New Glarus Knights won the Sectional Championship on Saturday, March 9, 2019, after winning the Sectional Final game against the Belleville Wildcats. The Knights will play their first game in the State Tournament on Thursday, March 14, 2019. See more on pages 10 and 11. For the third time this season, the New Glarus Knights and Belleville Wildcats met on the basketball court – only this time, a trip to state was at stake. New Glarus has not made it to the state tournament since 1932, and Belleville has never earned the chance to play there. Their fans packed Middleton High School on Saturday, March 9th, to watch their favorite players play in a WIAA Division 4 Sectional Final game.
