The Monticello Ponies girls basketball team played at Belmont on February 4th. Leading 30-16 at halftime, the girls went on to win the game. The final score was Monticello 58, Belmont 34.

Leading the team in scoring was Alyssen Noriega with 23 points, while Lindsey Pence scored 10 points and Mackie Errthum scored 9 points.

On February 5th, the Ponies hosted Black Hawk. Black Hawk outscored Monticello in the first and second halves and won the game. The final score was Black Hawk 70, Monticello 23.

The Ponies hosted Benton on February 11th, played at Argyle on February 12th and play at Juda on February 15th and will host Albany for their last regular season home game on February 16th. Monticello is seeded #7 for tournament play and will host #10 Johnson Creek on February 19th. The winner of that game goes on to play the winner of the #15 Wisconsin School for the Deaf at #2 Randolph game on February 22nd.
