Ponies Squeak Past Comets

On February 2nd, the Monticello Ponies boys basketball team hosted the Albany Comets for a game that was rescheduled from January 31st due to the severely cold weather. It was a close first half, with the teams trading the lead back and forth. The Comets were ahead with 4:30 left in the first, but the Ponies went on a 9-0 run to tie it up before the buzzer. The game was tied at 21.
The second half was again very close, and with 9:05 left the game was tied at 37. The Ponies scored four baskets in a row to take the lead, but the Comets came back with a 7-0 run to come within 1 with 4:13 l...
