Middle School Students Participate in National Geographic GeoBee

Nine students from the New Glarus Middle School participated in the school-level competition of the National Geographic GeoBee on January 24, 2019. Roman Kendrick, an eighth grade student, won first place for the second year in a row. Emma Mondloch and Michelangelo O'Brien, both sixth grade students, took second and third places.

The school-level competition is the first round in the annual National Geographic GeoBee, a geography competition designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world. Questions cover not only geography, but also cultures, physical features, histor...
