Monticello's Peter Gustafson (22) looks on as Reece Rufer (23) makes a move on a Dodgeville player.

The Monticello Ponies played at Dodgeville on January 26th. The game was close throughout the first half, with Monticello's biggest lead being 2 points. By halftime, the score was Dodgeville 26, Monticello 22.

The second half began with a 5-0 run by the Dodgers, but the Ponies rallied and scored 12 out of the next 16 points and were trailing by a single point with 12:06 left. The Ponies had the lead with a little more than 8 minutes left in the game, but Dodgeville came back and won the game. The final score was Dodgeville 56, Monticello 45.

"We found ourselves down 9 minutes after halftime, but fought back to go up one with 8 minutes to go. However down the stretch we were outshot at the free throw line and lost," commented Coach Mark Olson.
