The annual Fall Color Cruise in Memory of TJ Disch was held on October 6th. The event raises money for the Monticello Fire Department's TJ Disch Scholarship Fund.

The Monticello Ponies volleyball team hosted a tournament on Saturday, August 25th. Albany, Belmont, Black Hawk, Darlington, Juda, Pecatonica and River Ridge all competed.
Monticello Schools welcomed two new members to their teaching staff. Brenda DiCristina is a new 3rd grade teacher this year. Bailey Bowen will teach high school special education.
Monticello 5th grader Taylor Johnson achieved her goal of taking first place in the National Pedal Pull competition at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. Taylor is the daughter of Joe and Denise Johnson, Monticello.
