Dear Editor,

The Friends of the New Glarus Library want to extend our big thanks to the wider New Glarus area, which definitely extends well beyond the boundaries of the village of New Glarus.

We had a fun and successful trivia night last spring that included our first silent auction. Many people and organizations or companies donated a wide variety of items to be auctioned off. On Labor Day weekend we again had our used book sale. Once again, families and individuals came from the entire area to browse and shop. This made for another successful book sale.

The funds we raised will continue to support the library in various activities that would otherwise be unaffordable with the library’s budget. This usually includes at least one summer special activity or paid performer for the kids. All this is made possible by the participation and support of all the people from in and around the New Glarus area.

Again, a big Thank You! Without so many of you, our support of the library would not be possible. We are already planning for our 2019 activities to continue our support.
