All veterans are welcome at the 33rd Annual Winter Fest R&R All Veterans Reunion, taking place in New Glarus. This is the first veterans reunion of the year in the nation.
On Thursday, January 17th, an early birds gathering will take place at Tofflers for social time at 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, January 18th, the Hospitality Suite on the 2nd floor of the Chalet Landhaus will open at 2:00 p.m. The Burning of Winter ceremony will take place on Railroad Street, near the post office and village parking lot, at 6:30 p.m., with the Yodel Club. Parade line-up is at 7:00 p.m., on Railroad Street at the 6th Avenue intersection. From 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., there will be live music and food at the New Glarus Fire Department.
On Saturday, January 19th, the Americal meeting will be in the 2nd floor Conference Room at the Chalet Landhaus Inn from 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m., followed by the Winter Fest Auction from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m. in the Hospitality Room “A League of Their Own.” The annual group photo will be taken at 2:30 p.m. SHARP at the New Glarus Fest Haus, 106 3rd Avenue. Check-in and seating for dinner at the New Glarus Hotel is from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., and the buffet banquet starts at 5:30 p.m. Immediately following dinner there will be a program and a dance with live music by Badge. Just off tour, Big John and the Family Band will play around the fireplace at the Chalet Landhaus Inn beginning at Midnight.
Breakfast on Sunday, January 20th, is from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., at the Chalet Landhaus Inn and anyone who sticks around can watch football at Ott Haus starting at Noon.
