It’s cold outside, so think warm thoughts like spring time. A nice warm spring activity is tree planting. The Green County Land & Water Conservation Department is offering 11 varieties of trees and three varieties of shrubs for landowners interested in planting trees next spring.

The tree varieties are: Bur Oak, Red Oak, White Oak, Swamp White Oak, Sugar Maple, Black Cherry, Shagbark Hickory, Wild Plum, Basswood, White Pine and Norway Spruce.
