Dear Editor,

During the past two weeks, the residents at the New Glarus Home were treated to their annual Christmas Shopping Event and Christmas Party.

This year our shopping event was made even better by the wonderful donations from the New Glarus Brewery, New Glarus Bakery, Brenda’s Blumenladen, and from the Growing Tree Day Care. Plus all the thoughtful people from the area that remember to drop off either new or lovingly used gift items throughout the year.

This thoughtfulness enables all the residents to go “shopping” for a gift for their loved ones. Without the generosity of so many we would not be able to have the privilege of giving to our families.

This past Saturday our annual Christmas Party was held. Those kind people that had chosen an envelope off the giving tree returned a gift bag filled with wonderful, useful, and thoughtful gifts, which Santa handed out to each of the residents.

We need to send a special thanks out to our Activity Department that work hard each year in organizing this event. All the extra hours they put in making the tasty homemade goodies which were enjoyed by all the residents and families.

We send a big thank you and Season’s Greetings to all that helped make this event successful again this year.
