Shout Out to the Howlers!

November 1, 2018

Now that we have our second annual Howl at the Moon Dog Show under our belts, the take-away is that we love our dogs! We love dressing them up, showing them off, and hanging out with others who love their dogs too.

Thank you to all the participants who showed their creativity through their costumes pet tricks! The costumes were fantastic!

We were pleased that the weather held out for most of the event. It only rained a bit during the awards. There were lots of laughs and smiles as we enjoyed the creativity of the participants and talent of the dogs.

We could not have pulled this event off without the support of many people. We want to thank everyone who helped bring this year together. We are grateful to Chad and Heidi, from Charlie's Bark Park, who sponsored the event. Thanks also to Heide and Victor from Pet Supplies Plus, who joined the event as promotional sponsors, and to Rex and Kelsey of Rexxflex 9 Training who created our website, all the graphics and signage, donated prizes, and demonstrated clicker training.

Shane Eith and his talented crew from the Dane County 4-H Project provided the show rings and agility course and conducted the agility demonstration. Shane was invaluable to us as we planned the event this year, and his team of professionals who set up the rings and the courses were amazing to work with.

Thanks also to the following prize sponsors: PJ Funseth, Reflexx K9, Pet Supplies Plus, The Pet Nanny, Goochi Poochi, Top Notch Pet Foods, Oregon Farm Center, and Burreson's.

Thank you to our judges, Robin and Vicki. Thanks also goes to Casey Funseth, our MC. He kept the event moving along and entertained the audience with his lively banter and tall tales. And thank you to our husbands, children, relatives, and community friends who volunteered with a special Howler shout out to Denise, Dusty, Donnie, Jack, Reid, and Annabelle.

Look to next fall for the next annual dog show. We are open to ideas and help in planning. We can be reached through our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/howlatthemoondogshow.
