Volunteers' Friendliness Noted

Dear Editor,
On Saturday, October 13th, the New Glarus-Monticello Cross Country Team sponsored the Capitol Conference CC Meet in New Glarus. The coaches and athletes thank AD Spencer-Grant, Mr. Ziegler, Superintendent Thayer, the many parents and the grandparents who helped as officials on the course and those who worked with Clare McCoy in the concession stand.
Also, numerous parents provided baked goods, the Blohowiak family provided delicious pulled pork and Tracy Bartels, owner of The Morning Mug Coffee Shop, donated her amazing cinnamon rolls.
The conference meet brings hundreds of athletes, parents and fans from the fifteen schools in our conference. With the help of our army of volunteers, the cross country meet was a success. People remarked on the friendliness of our volunteers.
