Dear Editor,

I was appalled to see an article written by Patrick Durkin in Sunday’s Wisconsin State Journal with the headline “Scott’s Plan” guts state wildlife, environment. I have known that the Walker administration is wreaking havoc with the environment, but this article clearly pointed out the many areas of regression, such as relaxing wetland rules, deregulating high-capacity wells, selling off public lands, eliminating DNR scientists, and slashing DNR outdoor education programs. We need a change of administration!

I urge all of us in Green County to check myvote.wi.gov where you can find out if you are a registered voter (some have been removed from the list), where you vote, and even a ballot specific to where you live. Look at that ballot as you may be surprised at what is on it. I am urging votes for all democratic candidates, and a “yes” vote for the referendum regarding the Pleasant View Nursing Home. Get out and vote on Nov. 6th.
