Boy Scouts Team Up with NGFD For Emergency Preparedness Exercise

Eight Boy Scouts from New Glarus/Monticello Troop #106 recently participated with the New Glarus Fire Department in a lost person exercise.

The scouts learned planning and organization skills, command procedures, and incident response activities while working toward their Emergency Preparedness merit badge.

The scouts teamed up with firefighters as they created a plan and activated a search for a missing individual at the New Glarus Woods State Park. Four search groups included two firefighters assisted by two scouts.

The missing individual was found uninjured.
