New Interpretive Signs at New Glarus Woods State Park
September 20, 2018
New interpretive signs have been installed at the New Glarus Woods State Park by the path to the playground near the park shelter, featuring images of animals found in the woods and footprints that visitors can touch and feel. The bronze plaques were designed and cast by Mineral Point artist Peter Flanary based on drawings made by young park visitors of animals found in the woods.
Funding for the signs was provided by Friends of the New Glarus Woods State Park, the New Glarus Community Fund and The David & Joyce Weizenicker Fund for State Parks of the Natural Resources Foundation.
