The Belleville Wildcat Cross Country Team is off to a great start. We have returning senior runners Rachel Markhardt, Michelle Ayala, Caden O'Rourke, Gary Salmela and Derek Shrader.

We also have a few surprises on our girl's team with sophomores Tayler Yapp, Ashley Hansen, Kennedy Dreger and junior Maddy Weber joining us.

The team has competed at three venues so far. Our scrimmage was held in Milton on August 22nd, an abbreviated (heat-related) invite in Monroe August 27th, and the Darlington Invite last Saturday.

Megan and I are impressed with the team! Tayler has been recognized in both the Monroe and Darlington Invites and the boys have placed in the top half of teams.

We are on to River Valley (Spring Green) this Saturday. Keep up the good work Wildcats!
