To lessen the burden of time and money for families, the New Glarus Elementary and Middle Schools have significantly shortened the school supply lists for students in 4K-8th grade for the 2018-2019 school year, as well as eliminated most fees for summer school, after-school adventures, and middle school sports.

The New Glarus School District is continually striving to eliminate barriers for families and create more opportunities for students, and as part of that process determined that supply lists and fees needed to be reviewed. School supplies can be purchased in bulk at low prices and we have a generous community that donates many supplies every year. In addition, the PTO is working with the District to support this effort with additional funding. There is still a short list for parents to purchase specific, personal items, but the list is significantly less than before.

If families or the community wish to donate funds towards the PTO and schools’ efforts, they can write a check to the New Glarus School District and drop it off in any of the school offices.

The School District truly appreciates the support of our PTO, our families, and our community in our efforts to provide a high-quality educational experience for all New Glarus students at a reduced cost to parents.
