Some of the Meadow Valley students that attended the reunion on Sunday, August 5th, posed for a photo. Many memories were shared, and many laughs were had during the gathering. This past Sunday, through the graciousness of Nan and Bob Rudd of rural New Glarus, memories, in some cases going back 80 years, came back to life as former students of the Meadow Valley School on Meadow Valley Road, several miles southwest of New Glarus, gathered for a reunion in their old country school house, now owned and lovingly restored by the Rudds.
The oldest former student in attendance was 91-year-old Rudy Kopp, now of Orfordville, WI. The youngest were in the last class to attend Meadow Valley School. Kopp attended the reunion with his younger sister and her daughter.
