Registration Deadline for 4-H Day Camp Approaching

July 19, 2018

The 2018 4-H Day Camp will take place at the Green County Fairgrounds, 2600 Tenth Street, Monroe, on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and is led by Green County UW-Extension 4-H Youth Development staff.  The event is for any youth going into 1st-3rd grade (2018-2019 school year), and they do not have to be a member of 4-H to participate.

Campers will experience a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities related to nature, art, science and recreation. Some encourage individual exploration while others provide teamwork. There are quiet times and noisy times. There are many opportunities for new friendships and to belong to a group, as well as to develop new skills and interests. Weather permitting, the staff will take campers for a two-block walk down to East School Park for additional outdoor fun. A picnic lunch, plus an afternoon snack will be provided. A health coordinator who is trained in first aid and CPR will be on duty at all times to handle minor health and safety needs. Campers are covered by 4-H accident insurance.
